The grounds of the Olivas Adobe are well-maintained, and visitors can take a self-guided tour of the property, exploring the adobe itself, the outbuildings and storehouses, the chapel, and the gardens. Inside the adobe, visitors will find many distinct features, including the hand-painted tile floors and ceiling adornments, as well as the original furniture, artwork, and rugs. Outside the adobe, visitors can explore the grounds, visiting the family cemetery, the Old Adobe Stage Stop building, and the East End Ranch barn. There is also a picnic area with barbecue grills and a large park that provides great views of the surroundings. The Olivas Adobe also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. These include historical events, art shows, lectures, concerts, and festivals. Additionally, the adobe grounds are available for weddings and other special occasions.
